Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Meets Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Discusses Key State Issues

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the national capital and held detailed discussions on several key financial and developmental matters concerning the state.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Dhami congratulated the Finance Minister for the successful implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms, noting that they have contributed significantly to improving transparency, boosting revenue collection, and strengthening the country’s economic framework.

Dhami also expressed his gratitude to the Finance Ministry for its continued support to Uttarakhand, particularly in facilitating infrastructure development, financial assistance, and disaster management initiatives. He highlighted the importance of sustained central support for ongoing projects aimed at improving connectivity, tourism, and employment opportunities in the hill state.

The Chief Minister briefed Sitharaman on Uttarakhand’s priorities, including fiscal stability, investment promotion, and sustainable development in ecologically sensitive areas. He emphasized the need for collaborative efforts between the Centre and the state to accelerate growth and enhance the quality of life for citizens.

Finance Minister Sitharaman assured that the Union Government remains committed to supporting Uttarakhand’s development vision and acknowledged the state’s efforts in maintaining fiscal discipline while pursuing inclusive growth.
