Vice President, PM and Home Minister Pay Tribute to Swami Vivekananda on His Death Anniversary

Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Home Minister Amit Shah paid tribute to Swami Vivekananda on his death anniversary. In a social media post, Shri Radhakrishnan described Swami Vivekananda as a great patriot and philosopher. He noted that Swami Vivekananda took the nation’s eternal wisdom to the world. He expressed hope that Swami Vivekananda’s ideals would inspire everyone to serve with dedication, uphold the highest standards of character, and remain steadfast in nation-building.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that Swami Vivekananda’s contribution to gaining global recognition for India’s culture, spirituality, and national consciousness is unparalleled. Shri Modi remarked that Swami Vivekananda’s intellect and inspiring thoughts would continue to guide millions of youth, and his spiritual teachings would provide a new direction to the country in realizing the vision of a developed India.

Home Minister Amit Shah said, “Swami Vivekananda, who reintroduced the world to Vedanta, philosophy, and the Indian tradition of knowledge, ignited the spirit of character building and patriotism among the youth. He heralded a cultural renaissance across the length and breadth of the country and gave an organized form to spirituality and service by establishing the Ramakrishna Mission. His thoughts and ideals will continue to inspire the youth towards nation-building.”
