Chhapra-Delhi Express Launched in Bihar, Bihar Secures Record Rs 10,000 Crore Railway Allocation

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has allocated a record railway budget of over ₹10,000 crore for Bihar to develop the state’s rail infrastructure.

After arriving in Patna, Ashwini Vaishnaw spoke to reporters and stated that projects worth approximately ₹1.15 lakh crore are currently underway in Bihar; he further noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has allocated a railway budget of over ₹10,000 crore for Bihar, which will drive railway development in a completely new way.

Vaishnaw ji announced the launch of several major projects and stated that a new station with five platforms is going to be built at Harding Park in Patna. Large-scale new development is also taking place in Fatuha, located near Patna.

Minister Vaishnaw announced that a new express train between Chhapra and Delhi is being launched today to improve connectivity.

Emphasizing the achievements of the ‘Make in India’ program in the railway sector, Vaishnaw said that Bihar has emerged as a key center for exports. He noted that locomotives produced in Bihar are now reaching international markets. “Today, the 51st locomotive manufactured at the Marhowrah plant will be shipped to Guinea in Africa,” he said. Welcoming the launch of the new train service, BJP MP Rajiv Pratap Rudy described it as a long-standing demand of the people of Chhapra and the surrounding areas. (DD News)
