Immense enthusiasm is evident among pilgrims and seers regarding the Amarnath Yatra. On Thursday, a large group of seers set out for the holy Amarnath pilgrimage from the Shri Ram Mandir located at Old Mandi in Jammu. Before embarking on the journey, the seers and pilgrims chanted praises to ‘Baba Barfani’ and prayed for a pleasant and safe pilgrimage.
One of the seers departing for the pilgrimage told a news agency that the journey so far has been very pleasant. He described the experience of travelling alongside fellow seers and pilgrims as truly special. He said, “This is the first time I am getting the opportunity to seek the blessings of Baba Amarnath. Excellent facilities have been provided for the seers, and the service is rendered with the same dedication every year.”
A pilgrim embarking on the Amarnath Yatra for the first time also expressed his joy regarding the journey. He said, “This is my first Amarnath Yatra. There is tremendous enthusiasm among the pilgrims. The cooperation and assistance being provided by the administration and Army personnel are highly commendable.”
Another seer mentioned that he has been undertaking the Amarnath Yatra continuously for the past 32 years. He noted that the government has made excellent arrangements for the pilgrims this time as well. He highlighted that the facilities, especially those for the elderly and differently-abled pilgrims, are significantly better, making the journey much smoother than in the past.
A seer from Jabalpur, located on the banks of the Narmada River in Madhya Pradesh, stated that this is his third Amarnath Yatra. He said, “I have come to seek the blessings of Baba Barfani. The government has made magnificent preparations for the pilgrimage, and all arrangements are excellent.”
On this occasion, another seer linked the Amarnath Yatra to a spiritual tradition, saying, “We are all very excited. This is the first phase of our ‘Kailash Yatra’. The final phase will be completed at Harmukh Kailash in Jammu when the pilgrimage there begins. This tradition has existed since ancient times.”
He added that comprehensive security arrangements have been put in place along the pilgrimage route. The administration has made excellent arrangements at every level for the convenience of pilgrims, ensuring they can proceed to seek the blessings of ‘Baba Barfani’ safely and comfortably.
A deeply devotional atmosphere prevails across the entire Jammu region in connection with the Amarnath Yatra. A palpable sense of enthusiasm and faith regarding the pilgrimage to ‘Baba Barfani’ is evident among the devotees and seers who have arrived from various states across the country.
