Addressing the inaugural session of the conference, Mr. Yadav stated that India’s transition towards electric mobility is not merely about replacing one technology with another—it is about creating a sustainable industrial ecosystem that strengthens manufacturing, generates green jobs, and advances the Prime Minister’s vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) by 2047.

In his inaugural address, Mr. Yadav stated that India’s shift towards electric mobility goes far beyond a mere technological transition; the aim is to create a sustainable industrial ecosystem that boosts manufacturing, generates green jobs, and supports the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’.

Mr. Yadav stated that India needs to move away from the “take-make-dispose” model and transition towards a circular economy based on reuse, recycling, and sustainable resource utilization. He emphasized the need for robust charging infrastructure, local manufacturing, secure mineral supply chains, battery recycling, and efficiency. (PIB)
