The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is set to partially open Bharat Vandana Park in Dwarka next month, marking a major step forward in the long-delayed mega recreational project designed to showcase India’s cultural diversity.

According to officials, the first phase of opening will include the much-anticipated “Mini India” zone, which features replicas and themed representations of monuments and heritage elements from across the country. The move is expected to allow public access to select sections of the sprawling park while development continues in other areas.

Phase-wise Opening Strategy

The DDA has planned a staggered opening of the 200-acre park, with select attractions being made available to visitors in phases. The upcoming opening is part of this strategy to gradually operationalise key zones while completing remaining infrastructure work.

Mini India Zone to Be Major Attraction

One of the key highlights of the initial opening will be the Mini India thematic section, designed to reflect India’s cultural and geographical diversity. The zone is expected to be a major crowd-puller as it forms one of the core concepts of the entire park project.

Mega Recreational Vision for Delhi

Bharat Vandana Park is being developed as a landmark urban recreational and cultural destination in Dwarka Sector 20. Conceptualised as a “Mini India” park, it will eventually include themed gardens, water bodies, adventure zones, cultural spaces, and entertainment areas spread across multiple sections.

The project is part of the DDA’s larger plan to create modern green public spaces in Delhi, offering residents a mix of leisure, culture, and nature-based experiences within the city.

Work Still Under Progress

While parts of the park are nearing completion, several zones remain under development, and full-scale opening is expected in phases over the coming months. Officials have indicated that safety checks, landscaping work, and final finishing touches are still underway before wider public access is granted.

With the upcoming partial opening, Bharat Vandana Park is set to become one of Delhi’s newest large-scale public attractions, gradually evolving into a major recreational hub for the capital.
